Crystals of sugar are checked for it's size and consistency at at the sugar processing boiler at Simbhaoli Sugars factory in in Hapur District in Uttar Pradesh, India on April 2, 2014. The plant, contracted with 50,000 local sugarcane farmers, produces about 9500 tons of sugar per day including bulk sugar,pharmaceutical sugar, candy sugar and raw sugar. Uttar Pradesh is the 2nd largest sugar production state in India following Maharashtra.
