Workers repair base of a water pipeline in Bhandup, Mumbai, India on March 27, 2010 after it was bursted due to decrepitation. Due to the lack of rain during last year's monsoon, Mumbai is facing one of the worst water shortage in its history and the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (BMC) has cut 15 % of its water supply in March. Poor maintenance of the pipeline and water thieves, who connect illegal pipes to the city's water line and steal water for sale, are blamed for a part of the shortage.Photo by Kuni Takahashi
